The show also featured her husband and longtime partner, Jarrod Schulz, catapulted both of them to mainstream fame. Brandi and Jarrod of the Now and Then Thrift Store in Orange California were part of the show in hopes of acquiring affordable storage units. They did not realize this show was going to make them reality celebrities! Through the series they proved to be meticulous bidders and emerged as among the main characters of the reality show. Their popularity on the reality TV show boosted their company and enabled them to establish a second shop in addition to their existing shop that they already ran. The popularity of their "Storage Wars" show was the catalyst for a spinoff named 'Brandi & Jerrod married to work, with a focus on the couple.
